Power
There are many types of forklifts that are powered by propane gas. Propane-powered forklifts are simple to refill. The gas is stored in a pressurized tank on the back of the truck. The propane is pushed into the engine, where it is converted into vapor and the vapor mixes with air. The forklift throttle is used to be able to control the flow of vapor. A spark plug fires up the mix of air and vapor creating pressure which makes the pistons move. The pistons turn the wheels and power the hydraulic pump.
Forklifts that utilize propane are suggested for use in warehouses and other buildings since they are clean burning with low emissions.
Hydraulics
The hydraulic system of the forklift is what allows it to raise and move really heavy things from location to location. Tubes, cylinders and a pump make up the hydraulic system. The pump forces dense fluid in the tubing and into the cylinders. The pressure build up pushes a piston, that raises the forks. When the forks are lowered by the operator, the hydraulic fluid flows out of the cylinders and back in the pump.
Steering
Propane forklifts work well where maneuverability is required. Not like a car, a forklift makes use of its back wheels to turn, that allows the forklift to quickly turn on a tight radius.

Does Cold Temperature Truly Affect the Level Gauge on a Propane Tank?
Like the majority of other types of materials, propane is affected by cold temperatures. As the temperature goes down, the propane gas contracts. That reduced level of gas inside the tank is reflected by the gauge which reflects the level on the propane tank. Often, this happens whenever...

On the rear of the forklift is a counterbalance, which allows the lift truck to raise very heavy things. The counterbalance gives balance so that the machine will not tip over while lifting and moving heavy loads. Forklifts are rated based on their load capacity. A small lift truck that can carry 1800 kilograms weighs roughly 4000 kilograms, which...

Counterbalance forklifts are essentially forklifts which are engineered with counterweight at the back of the machine. The counterweight works to balance the weight that the tines are carrying at the front of the cargo. This design is engineered to stabilize conventional lift trucks. As far as electric counterbalance forklifts are concerned, the counterweight is formed by the battery itself.
